Project Update: SWLP Kingston phase 2

Since mid-June, we’ve officially kicked off Phase 2 of the SWLP Kingston project!

This phase focuses on creating a large open laboratory space by carefully relocating existing laboratory functions. This newly created area will become the future home of the Beckman Coulter Diagnostics DxA Automation System, marking another important milestone in the laboratory’s transformation towards greater efficiency and automation.

The installation of the Beckman Coulter DxA is scheduled to begin in mid-August, with the planned Go-Live on 28 October. Seeing the project progress from planning to execution is always rewarding, and we’re looking forward to the next key milestones over the coming months.

We’re proud to once again be working alongside Ensigna Construction Limited, whose expertise and collaboration continue to be invaluable throughout the project.

A special thank you also goes to the Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust Estates, Bianco Sale Limited, Floyd Slaski Architects Ltd, Playle & Partners LLP, Hunters: Architects, Building Consultants and Civils & Structures team for their continued support, commitment, and excellent cooperation both during the preparation phase and throughout the ongoing works.

Looking forward to sharing further updates as we move closer to delivering another successful laboratory transformation.
