First delivery Roche Total Lab Automation in Nieuwegein
This week, the first shipment of new equipment from Roche arrived at the clinical chemistry laboratory at St. Antonius Hospital in Nieuwegein. Compared to what’s still to come, this is a small shipment, but it marks an important milestone.
Following the initial renovation work and modifications to the facilities—designed to create space and prepare the laboratory for full Total Laboratory Automation (TLA)—the Clinical Chemistry Laboratory (KCL) took delivery of the first Cobas PRO this week.
This system will play a key role in the project. It will be used for the necessary validations and will provide additional capacity during the various phases in which the current Cobas systems are being replaced.
The Cobas PRO will be installed in the coming weeks. Afterward, the laboratory can begin the validations and continue working toward the next steps in this project.
Lab-Partners BV is handling the project management for this initiative on behalf of St. Antonius Hospital. We look forward to the next phases and thank all parties involved for their dedication and cooperation so far.
