Update St. Helier and Epsom in London

The South West London Pathology laboratories in Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust are now live with stand-alone equipment of Beckman Coulter Diagnostics. This is an important milestone and the starting point for the next phase: continuing to implement the relocation plan and working towards the final end situation.

In St Helier, the drilling for the final drains has been completed and the power supply and UPS units are currently being installed. The analyzers have been moved one by one to their final positions. The first track sections will be delivered next week and installation will begin.

In Epsom, we are also working towards the desired final situation. An additional challenge here is the replacement of parts of the floor. By cleverly shifting the various workstations and analyzers, we are able to accomplish this together with the lab. Here, as well, we are tackling as many facilities as possible, such as power, water, and drains.

The biggest challenge in projects like this? Ensuring that the laboratory can continue to function 24/7 while the infrastructure is being modified.
Lab-Partners BV supports laboratories and/or suppliers in the preparation, planning, and execution of these complex transitions.

Next time, we will provide a new update on these projects!
