Beckman Coulter DxA Live at SWLP St. Helier

After nearly a year of preparation, a major milestone has been reached at South West London Pathology St Helier: the fully automated DxA track from Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is now live.

What started with initial assessments has evolved through months of refurbishment, reorganisation, and operating in stand-alone mode with new analysers. Throughout this journey, the flexibility and dedication of everyone involved have been key to making this transition a success.

Despite the scale and complexity of the change within a 24/7 laboratory environment, the go-live was achieved smoothly and without major setbacks. This is a testament to the strong collaboration between all parties involved, including the Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust Estates team.

A special thanks to Steve Hopkins for his support, and to Martin Standring for his leadership as project manager. We also want to recognise all engineers and specialists from Beckman Coulter Diagnostics EMEA who executed the installation with great precision and commitment: from build to handover and ongoing support.
A result to be proud of, and a great example of what strong collaboration can achieve. 🚀
