Kick-off Project University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay (UHMB)

On 25 March 2026, the kick-off took place for the renewal of Beckman Coulter Diagnostics laboratory equipment within the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMB)!

As part of this programme, the hospital laboratories at three sites: the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, Furness General Hospital and Westmoreland General Hospital, will be equipped with new equipment in phases.
The first implementation will take place at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, where a new DxA5000 track, combined with AU5812 and DxI9000 analysers, will be installed. The other sites will follow. Part of the upgrade involves an upgrade of the Remisol Advance IT solution, for which a completely new server solution has been proposed to the Trust.

This is a significant step towards further optimising diagnostics within UHMB. We look forward to the successful implementation of this programme in collaboration with all parties involved.
