Project Update - Kingston Hospital
The next phase of the laboratory transformation at Kingston, part of South West London Pathology is well underway, with the focus now shifting towards transitioning from a standalone configuration to a fully automated workflow by connecting the equipment to the Beckman Coulter Diagnostics DxA track.
The AU5812 and DxI 9000 analysers have now been relocated and successfully connected to the DxA. And the new replacement analysers, including the DxH 902’s and ACL TOP 570, have also found their new home within the laboratory.
With the DxA configuration and workflow now completed and successfully tested, the focus over the coming weeks will be on final customer additions, training and End-to-End testing. This will bring us closer to two important milestones: Soft Go-Live in the week of 12th October, followed by Complete Go-Live on 20 October.
The past few weeks have seen great progress, made possible by the close collaboration and commitment of all teams involved. From the DxA hardware installation and instrument relocations to the installation, software configuration and workflow development, every part has required close coordination and collaboration.
A special thank you to Christian Winiarz, Rony Sanchez, Tebogo Noge and Eladio De la Espada. for their support to the local UK team.
At the same time, under the leadership of Ensigna Construction Limited, we continue to progress with the enabling works in the adjacent areas of the laboratory, gradually bringing all the different elements together.
Building piece by piece towards a laboratory ready for the future.
Another big thank you to everyone involved for their hard work, flexibility and great collaboration throughout this project. It is fantastic to see the progress being made as we move towards Go-Live.
